Our History
Carriere Industrial Supply Limited (CIS) has over 60 years of experience manufacturing and delivering cost-effective wear products and services to the mining industry. Founded in 1964 by Armand Carriere in Cobalt, Ont., the company relocated to Sudbury in 1990 with the closure of the Sherman and Adams iron ore mines. While our initial focus was distribution, CIS expanded into manufacturing in the early 1990s of value-added products and services providing innovative solutions for both wear liner material and bucket design. Today CIS is situated on seven acres in the Walden Industrial Park in Lively, and our workforce has grown to more than 120 employees. Our customer service along with our manufacturing capabilities enable us to meet the increasing demands of Canadian markets outside of northeastern Ontario, and also those of the U.S., Australia and South America.
